The center of the Island of Ibiza is, naturally, the city of Ibiza. It is located right on the shore, on a hill, surrounded by gorgeous fortifications. Its narrow lanes and numerous shops and stands offer a unique, exotic and brightly colored environment in which you can buy everything from souvenirs to the latest fashions.

The feeling here is very simply “take it easy, have some fun with life!”

To get to Ibiza Island, you can travel by either ship or plane. Regular flights are available from airports in Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Mallorca. From Ibiza airport, public transportation can take you to virtually any point on the island; or you could just as easily rent a car. Of course, traveling by ship means a longer trip, but it is much more romantic. Ships to Ibiza leave from all major ports in Spain.

One of the essentials to the Ibiza culture is the nightlife. In the city of Ibiza, you will need only to leave one pub or discotheques (especially in the Calle Barcelona), to enter the next one just next door. The best way to find the fun is to follow the mass of tourists passing through the streets, and you will automatically be taken to a local spot that is hot at that very moment.

The port area boasts ample terraces, restaurants, and small stands that sell souvenirs until late night. The smaller villages of the island do not quite have the nightlife that the capital has, but at least in those areas you will not have the slightest difficulty to find what you are looking for. Even, out of the villages there are several big discotheques, with fun loving, beautiful people everywhere you look!
